Mentoring S.A. supports the organization of the program “SMALL ROVINSONES- TRAVELLING FOR CHILDRENS WITH DISABILITIES AND THEIR FAMILIES” which designed and implemented by the Social Enterprise “AMPHITRITE”. AMPHITRITE SCOIP operates in accessible tourism, with the platform greece4all.eu.
The program addressess to families who have a child with a disability aged 5-15 years, while is being implemented and supported by highly trained personnel (teachers, chaperones).
The costs of children’s participation and their escorts (tickets, transportation, accommodation, food, activities, etc.) are covered by the organizers, thanks to donations and sponsorships of major enterprises and organizations which support the program such as Blue Star Ferries – ANEK Lines, Interamerican, Airotel Hotel Group, Stefanakis Group, etc.
The first cycle of the program was completed with the participation of ELEPAP from Chania. Seven children accompanied by their parents and therapists, hosted from 25 up to 27 June 2016 in Athens and participated in an array of activities that combined learning, socialization and recreation.
Thenceforward the “Small Rovinsones” program takes place every year and enjoyes the same success, up until today.
