Mentoring S.A. participated in an study visit in Palo Alto (USA), organised by the European Business Angels Network (EBAN) for its members. The visit’s objective was the communication and exchange of experiences and good practices with American business angels, as well as the identification of business and technological trends in Silicon Valley.
During the visit, informative meeting and workshops were organised in the University of Stanford with representatives of important angel groups (Space Angels, Tech Coast Angels, Sand Hill Angels, Band of Angels, Life Science Angels) and venture capitals (Garage Technology Ventures, Wellington Partners, Ecosystem Ventures). The participants also met with multinational companies that operate innovation centres in the region of San Francisco (Microsoft, Siemens), with incubators for start-ups (Plug and Play Tech Center) and with other “places” in the seed-capital market (Kauffman Fellows Program, Silicon Valley Bank etc).
