«Strengthening self-employment of higher education graduates»


BENEFICIARIES
Potential beneficiaries of the action are graduates of higher education who have been born before 1.1.1991.
The program will support the beneficiaries in order to start a professional activity related to their specialty and organizing independent workplace.
In particular beneficiaries should be:

  • Unemployed graduates of higher education enrolled in the unemployed registers of Manpower Employment Organization before submitting the application or
  • graduates of higher education who have been engaged in professional activity and have no employment relationship

Indicatively, the following business activities will be financed by the program:
Doctor, dentist, veterinarian, physiotherapist, biologist, psychologist, lawyer, architect, engineer, surveyor, chemist, agronomist, geologist, forester, oceanographer, designer, journalist, writer, interpreter, guide, translator, teacher or teacher, artist, sculptor or painter or cartoonist or engraver, actor, musician, dancer, choreographer, director, set designer, costume designer, decorator, economist, analyst, developer, researcher or business adviser, accountant or tax consultant, sociologist and social worker κ.α.

SUBMISSION OF PROPOSALS
The notice of the second cycle is expected to be announced.

BUDGET PROPOSAL AND AMOUNT OF GRANT
The subsidized budget will amount to 5,000 Euros up to 25,000 Euros.
The aid rate of investment proposals is set at 100% of the total budget of the investment.

DURATION OF IMPLEMENTATION
The duration of implementation of the approved projects is expected to reach twenty-four (24) months from the decision inclusion.

BUDGET OF THE ACTION
The program is funded with a total amount of 50 million Euros (Public Expenditure) and will be divided into two (2) cycles (first cycle 2015: 35% and 2nd cycle 2016: 65%).
This program of the 1st cycle is financed for a total amount of 17,5 million Euros. (Public Expenditure)
